Memories- a poem

Sinking and drifting, always falling from mind. Rising and lasting, if only for a short time. Laughter and smiles will at times bring them out. Pain, death, and sorrow we always push away. In those troubling times friends will always help us. When they are deafening, and blocking all else out. When they are heartbreaking, and pulling us apart. When they are so joyous we can do all but cry. When they are breathtaking, we are momentarily stunned. Even when it's hard, we cannot forget them. They hold all we have, and all that we once had. Moments we all have, and times we must keep.

Another climbing challenge

For those of you who may not know, I am pretty active when it comes to volunteer work and participating in community events. It means a lot to me. And it just so happens that the most challenging event for me is right around the corner. You may have heard me mention it last year, the Fight For Air Climb (FFAC) through the American Lung Association. Now, I'm not going to pretend that I do this because I am a phenomenal runner or anything like that, or even overly active in general. I have never been on a sports team or anything like that, and I never wanted to be on one. So it may seem a little crazy that I plan on running up all 70 floors

The holidays are a time for giving, and what better way to use some of your free time and artistic abilities than to create a card to be given to a hospital patient?  and if just the fact that you would be making someones day isn't enough inventive for you, DA is giving out one month premium memberships to those that join in. If you wanted you could even have a card making party and get your friends and family to join in, non DA members can take part as well. So why not make a card?
